Day 1
Meeting at the airport or railway station of Ulan-Ude by your guide. Transfer to the village along the newly paved highway. Maksimikha (3 hours on the way) is located on the shore of Barguzin Bay, accommodation at the hotel. Exploring Lake Baikal, magnificent sandy beaches, Siberian taiga and crystal clear waters will not leave you indifferent.
Day 2
Today you will visit one of the most beautiful places of Lake Baikal - the Ushkany Islands. First, we will drive to the mouth of the Barguzin River (the second largest tributary of Lake Baikal), where a speedboat will be waiting for us, where we will set off to this pristine natural world, first we will visit the "House of Seals", then you will go to the opposite side of the island along the ecological trail, along the way you will be able to observe giant anthills and red book plants. On the other side of the island there is an observation deck, from where you can see Baikal seals sunbathing on marble protruding from the water.
At the end of the tour, return to the hotel by the same route.
Day 3
After breakfast we will go to the Ecological and Ethnographic Park-Museum "Svetly Polyana", an open-air museum complex designed by the pioneer Cossacks of the 17th century during the development of the Barguzin region in the form of an ancient settlement.
The Russian Orthodox Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, a log cabin of ancient Russian architecture, a Siberian bathhouse and much more are located on the territory of the Museum-Park. After lunch you can rent a bike and ride to Cape Krestovy, where you will enjoy a wonderful panorama of the Holy Nose Peninsula.
Day 4
After breakfast, drive to Ulan-Ude, the capital of the Republic of Buryatia, Russian Federation. The famous square city, the ancient city interprets the immortal legend. On the way, go to the lighthouse town, and then visit the Lama Temple, which is a Tibetan Buddhist temple in Tibet and the main temple of Russian Lamaism. It was built in 1946 and has far-reaching religious significance. City tour, the city style is full of strong ethnic characteristics: the municipal square has the world's largest Lenin head (7.7 meters high), Nicholas II Triumphal Arch, Orthodox Church and other landmark buildings.
Go to the Old Believers Village.
Visit the Sleeping Lion Mountain in the border area of the Buryat Autonomous Republic, watch the Selenga River meandering through the foot of the mountain, and bend more charmingly under the setting sun, and then go to the legendary Russian Orthodox Old Believers Village Darbagatai Village to experience the local welcome ceremony: special pancakes and home-made wine and other delicacies. Centuries ago, the Orthodox Church changed, and the Old Believers were forced to move west to Poland. Tsarist Russia occupied Poland under the leadership of Catherine, and she ordered the Old Believers to move back to Siberia, where wheat had never grown. The Old Believers, who had been in exile for a century, not only successfully planted wheat after arriving on the east coast of Lake Baikal, so that the locals also ate bread, but also completely preserved their religious beliefs and national customs. Dinner is served at the home of the Old Believers, and while dining, watch traditional performances with folk characteristics.
Day 5
After breakfast, go to the train station to embark on the return journey, enjoy the scenery outside the train window along the way, and feel the beauty of life.
Day 6
End the pleasant journey and return to the warm home.
