Irkutsk (Иркутск) is a place name in Russia, including Irkutsk Oblast and Irkutsk City. Irkutsk Oblast is located in the southern part of the Central Siberian Plateau and west of Lake Baikal. It borders Mongolia to the south. It covers an area of 767,900 square kilometers. Irkutsk City is the capital of Irkutsk Oblast and the second largest city in East Siberia. It is located at the southern end of Lake Baikal. It is at the confluence of the Angara River and the Irkutsk River. It has a population of about 800,000 and has a continental climate with a long cold period. Irkutsk Oblast was established in 1937 as it developed along with the development of the Trans-Siberian Railway. Irkutsk Oblast is located in the southern part of East Siberia. It borders the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Tuva, Krasnoyarsk, and the Republic of Sakha, and is connected to Chita Oblast in the east.

The beach complex is located near Irkutsk, and the distance between the city and Lake Baikal is only 2 hours by car.
